  Marlim Azul

  Multiterminais was chosen as the logistical partner in receiving and transporting all the equipment for the new Marlim Azul thermoelectric plant in Macaé. Marlim Azul is the first thermoelectric plant to use pre-salt gas in Brazil.

  Multiterminais was responsible for receiving 6 ships at the Port of Rio de Janeiro, unloading several large parts for the construction of the thermoelectric plant in Macaé called Marlim Azul. This project was quite challenging as it had several large machines, requiring special facilities and teams to be able to unload, store and transport to Macaé.

  Oil Spill Response Limited

  Oil Spill Response Limited is the largest international cooperative to combat oil spills, funded by the oil and gas industry.

  Established in 1985, it has participated in over 400 oil spill incidents around the world.

  In addition to fighting spills, OSRL also works with prevention and preparation (advice, training and equipment) for oil producers.

  Considering the relevant position of oil production in Brazil, OSRL chose Multiterminais to host one of its subsea response bases to deal with any eventual oil spill accidents.

  OSRL occupies a space of approximately 4,000 m² at Multiterminais.

  Gerdau's Industrial Plant in Ouro Branco

  Multitermiais partnered with the Gerdau group on the steel project in the city of Ouro Branco – MG. Multiterminais participated in all stages of the logistics process of this huge operation.

  The whole shipment process was made in Customs Transit status.

  Mercedes Benz: Total Parts Inventory Control

  The logistics process, from the import of parts, until the delivery to the Mercedes-Benz factory in Juiz de Fora is made by ALB. ALB is a joint venture between Multiterminais and Schenker International, one of the largest freight forwarders in the world.

  The parts that supply Mercedes-Benz of Brazil arrive via sea.

  After the ship is docked, and the authorities issue the unloading permission, the containers are transferred to a segregated are in the Port of Rio de Janeiro, which is operated by Multiterminais. As they are being handled, the procedures for the emission of the DTA (Declaração de Trânsito Aduaneiro) are initiated for posterior loading onto railroad transport, or in the case of critical containers, via road transport. The average time for this operation, from the moment they arrive at the port to the moment the container arrives at Juiz de Fora is 3 to 4 business days if they go via railroad. If they are shipped via road, the container can arrive 8 hours earlier.

  When the containers arrive in Juiz de Fora, Multiterminais unloads them directly into the Dry Port. At this time, the DTA is concluded in the SISCOMEX transit system. The containers are unpacked and Customs release is initiated. Always, Customs release is related to the necessity of the client and the FIFO date. The SAP system indicates the optimal order for Customs release so that all deadlines are respected.

  The parts that are released by Customs are immediately sent to warehouses where they will be check in and carefully stored until use.

  Storage is executed taking into consideration GLT and KLT type boxes to facilitate visual control.
